About Pilgrimage

Pilgrimage or Hajj in Arabic, is an obligatory duty on every Muslim. Allah says “and pilgrimage to the house is a duty that mankind owe to Allah, those who can afford the journey, but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of his creatures” Al-Emran/97. It is one of the pillars of Islam. Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the prophet (S.A.S.) said: “Islam has been built upon five pillars: testifying that there is no god but Allah and Mohammed is His messenger, performing prayer, paying zakat (charity), fasting Ramadan and performing pilgrimage to the house for those who are able”.
