This year, the Women's Department of the ICCI marked International Women's Day with a special dinner for active members of the community, the representatives of various organisations and groups, both from Muslim and non-Muslim community and with special guests from the Garda Síochána.
The invitees enjoyed a brief presentation of three remarkable ladies, all three at different points of their journeys, sharing their experiences of being a woman in established professional capacity, as a dedicated student and a back-to-work mum: Mrs. Bernadette Brennan, principal of the Muslim National School, Clonskeagh, Ms. Faiza Ismail, a PhD researcher in Law from the UCD and Ms. Amillah Ali, newly started member of the ICCI Women's department.
Through the entire evening, there was a beautiful atmosphere of sisterhood and the evening ended on a very positive note with hope of this initiative continuing in the future.
