The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland organized a prize-giving ceremony awarded to the winners of different competitions held during the Ramadan 2015-1436. The event took place on Saturday 12 September 2015 at 3pm in ICCI Multipurpose hall.  Families gathered to celebrate and to honour fantastic achievement of their children.

There were 173 participants coming from all over Ireland, competing with each other in the Quranic competition spread across the ten levels: half juza, 1juza, 2 juza, 3 juza, 4 juza, 5 juza, quarter of the Qur'an, one third of the Qur'an, half of the Qur'an and the whole of Qur'an.

The other competitions composed of Sira competition and research competition. These competitions had approximately thirty participants.

As for the Sira competition, for the third time it was organized based on the Arraheeq Almakhtoom book, which has been awarded the first prize by the Muslim World League,  at the first Islamic Conference on Seerah, hence in sha’a Allah, we shall continue to organize the competition of Sira of the Prophet Mohammad p.b.u.h. consistently.

Regarding the Research competition, it has covered the following sections:

  1. The Methodology of Da’wa in Sira,
  2. Human Values in Sira,
  3. The Fiqh of context in Sira,
  4. Muslim-non Muslim relations in Sira,
  5. How can we apply lessons of Sira in respect of contemporary challenges?

At the end, we would like to thank Al-Maktoom Foundation for sponsoring these competitions and all those who attended and shared with us in these celebrations. It was a wonderful evening to celebrated with friends and families and everyone seemed very pleased with their reward. Indeed, the reward in the Hereafter is better and more lasting and the enjoyment of the life of this world, compared with the Hereafter, is but little.”
