Happy Muslim Families and the ICCI Women’s office organised a Sisters' trip to the Wicklow Mountains on Saturday August 15th. The buses left the mosque at 10am and on arrival to the Armoury Café, which is located on the site of the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, the sisters enjoyed a healthy brunch of freshly made soup, sandwiches tea and coffee.
A small talk about “Tafakkur”, reflecting on Allah’s creation was given, after which the sisters took a walk around the surrounding area in order to reflect. The bus then drove the sisters to a beautiful lake on the top of the Wicklow Mountains before heading to an area near Tibradden woods to pray Duhr in congregation.
Happy Muslim Families fired the BBQ for lunch and while they waited the sisters had a great time competing in quizzes and other games. The buses returned to the ICCI for Asr prayer.
