“The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.” 2:185.

The youth department organised a trip for the older girls group to visit the Chester Beatty Library to view the beautiful Qur'ans that they have on display there. It was a lovely calming visit. We had the pleasure of listening to Jesse, a tour guide, who showed us secrets within oriental paintings and he also shared his experience of seeing the Ruzbihan Qur'an for the very first time. He explained the preservation process it had to go through and how it was given a new binding cover, as it had never been bound before. This Qur'an is not currently on display to the public. The last time it was on display was in 2016. The exhibits within the Chester Beatty are changed every 3-4 months. It is well worth visiting and taking the time to read the pages of Qur'an on display. Remember, each letter gains us 10 hasanat, by the mercy of Allah (swt).

Thank you to Hajj Ali for driving us there, and to the girls and youth leaders who came along.

May Allah accept our fasting and our deeds.
