On Thursday 8th of August 2013, Ireland officially celebrated the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Eid ul Fitr prayer was held at 9.45am. A huge turnout came for Eid prayer and many families stayed on for the Family Fun day. Following prayer, refreshments were provided to everyone with the community enjoying the festive atmosphere. After almost a month of fasting, Eid ul Fitr is celebrated by indulging in special delicacies prepared for the day and also an opportunity to celebrate, meeting friends and families.

In addition to the barbecue, Human Appeal International Ireland in co-operation with the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland presented Eid ul-Fitr Family Fun Day 2013 on the day from 1-6pm on the grounds of the ICCI. Games were available for the whole family with ice-cream, sweets and popcorn to mark the auspicious occasion.

The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland would like to thank all the ICCI staffs, Security staffs and volunteers for their great contribution in making our Eid ul Fitr  enjoyable and successful. It also gives us great pleasure to wish you, your family and Muslim community a blessed Eid and May Allah S.W.T grant you His Blessings and Mercy.
