On Saturday 9th February 2013, Sr. Khola Hasan gave two excellent lectures at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland to an audience of 86 sisters.
The distinguished guest, who travelled from the UK, first spoke from 11.30am-2pm on the role of women in dawah, entitled ‘What Can I Do’, which was praised for its informative and practical advice on how to perform dawah.
After a break, Sr. Hasan delivered a lecture titled ‘The Concept of Arranged Marriage: its Practicality in Today's World’ which was also very well-received by the many attendees.
The audience, which included sisters from Northern Ireland, Laois and Limerick as well as Dublin, was extremely impressed by the wisdom and passion of Sr. Hassan, but also by the format of the lectures in which everyone was given the opportunity to give their input into the discussions which enriched the event even further.
