The camp, which ran over three days, took place at the Carlingford Adventure Centre located on the Irish Sea in County Louth. The Centre did not disappoint, providing the boys with the perfect mix of character building and modern comforts. The adventure began with a night walk in the 10 acre forest, but this was no ordinary hike. This is because the ICCI group were blindfolded! The task proved challenging, but served as a valuable lesson, as we had to show discipline and cooperation in order to complete the walk. The theme of the camp was “Brotherhood - Team Work”, and every activity was planned to play up the theme and we had to work together to achieve our goals.
The boys also enjoyed the challenges of steering a canoe through the water as well as the excitement, exhilaration, thrill and adrenaline rush of ziplining. As with all our camps, an Islamic thread ran through all the activities, and the boys commended the balanced programme.
Remarkable place, great food, unforgettable time, new friends, great camp!
