On Thursday the 24 of May, a very important meeting was held at the ICCI to discuss the Arabic leaving certificate curriculum. It was attended by the Arabic teachers who teach the course in Ireland, namely Dr Ali Selim, Mr Abdurrazzaq Hasan, Mr Ali Bushnaf and Mr Ramadan Abu Ghalia. During this meeting, a substantial evaluation of the current Arabic leaving certificate curriculum was presented. Based on the conclusion reached in a previous meeting with John Hammond, CEO of the National Council of Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) and Mr Slattery, director of curriculum and assessment, held at the NCCA offices located at Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2, suggestions have been deliberated and approved of by Dr Ali Selim, Mr Abdurrazzaq, Mr Bushnaf and Mr Ramadan Abu Ghalia. Within the next few days a submission will be made to the NCCA to sign it off.
