Last weekend, on the occasion of the UN's Arabic Language Day, ICCI hosted two lectures by Mr. Belgacem Aboudi entitled "The Beauty of Arabic Language" and "Arabic Grammar: History and Principles".
The lectures were filled to capacity with people from all different backgrounds (Arabic speakers and non-Arabic speakers) and were highly praised by all of those who attended. The lectures were wrapped up with a Q&A session and Mr. Belgacem Aboudi was presented with a dagger as a token of appreciation from the Centre for his efforts.
The seminar room was also set up with Dr. Saleh Al-Moussawy's beautiful Arabic calligraphy art pieces. All of those that walked by were able to appreciate his work and also get some pieces custom-made.
The event continues until Tuesday, 19th December with the final art exhibition of Dr. Al-Moussawy's work at Chester Beatty Library's Lecture Hall, from 11am to 4pm
This event was sponsored by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
