On Friday, February 22nd the Islamic Cultural Centre held a community appreciation reception for friends, neighbours and associates who have been invaluable in their work and support over the year(s) with our community. While it is always nice to network over food, we decided to incorporate a charitable cause into the event and make a collection for Lauralynn children’s hospice. We liaised with their fundraising team and arranged for Mary McDaid a long time volunteer at the hospice to come along and talk to us about the great service the hospice provides to families.
Thank you to everyone who attended the event and all your kind donations.
We will be donating a total of €1000 to Lauralynn.
