Islamic End of Life Practices

As part of our community welfare outreach talks and workshops can be organised either online or in person for various topics. As part of her work, Sr Amilah performs the washing and shrouding of deceased members of the community with a dedicated team of volunteers. She also provides information and advice to medical professions on the subject of end of life practices in Islam. Recently two online sessions were conducted, one with health care workers with BAYADA home healthcare and the other with healthcare workers from Cork University Hospital. Communication, understanding and sharing of experiences is so important when working with families whose loved ones are at end of life.
