On Tuesday 13th June 2023, the head of the Community Welfare Dept ICCI accompanied by Portlaoise administrative officer, ICC Portlaoise, traveled to Letterkenny Co Donegal to deliver training on the practice of washing and shrouding the deceased in accordance with Islamic Tradition. The training was delivered to a diverse group of Muslim women from the Letterkenny and Derry regions.
The day gained the fruits of networking and creating awareness of the growing community and the needs that need to be met.
The ICCI sent a small gift of 10 Qurans, Pocket booklets on the Seerah, and dua books for the two mosques in the Letterkenny region.
