As reported in the Irish Times, joy and relief were heard from more than 3,000 people who gained Irish citizenship on Monday 20th January 2014.
The new citizens who came to Ireland from more than 100 countries took part in the three ceremonies throughout the day at the Dublin Convention Centre.
Minister for Justice Alan Shatter said the State was home to people from “every country on this planet”.
