The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland; CEO Dr. Nooh, the management team and staff had the great pleasure of welcoming Garda Commissioner Drew Harris on his first visit to the Centre on the afternoon of Tuesday, 3rd December 2019. Accompanying the Commissioner was, Assistant Garda Commissioner Orla McPartlin, Inspectors Gavin O'Reilly and Michael McNamara, Sergeant Daragh Lynch, Gardai Daragh O'Brien and Deirdre Gately.
Our guests appreciated a presentation on the history of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland by the head of Community Welfare Department, throughout which many examples of the work carried out by the staff of the centre was presented.
Following the presentation a light lunch was enjoyed by all in an atmosphere of engaging conversation and positive interaction. The CEO of the ICCI and Imam Hussein Halawa then presented a gift to Garda Commissioner to mark the occasion of his visit.
The ICCI sincerely appreciate the visit of Commissioner Harris and his team, and we look forward to future interactions with his office.
