The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland condemns in the strongest terms the cold blooded murder of the three Muslims perpetrated by a man by the name of Craig Stephen Hicks in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on 8th February 2015.
According to the reports the hate-motivated killer has perpetrated this unjustifiable & horrendous act of murder for no apparent reason rather than victim's being Muslims.
This type of crime necessitates better coordinated efforts and requires more collaboration between Muslims and non-Muslims as well as fairer and more responsible mainstream media coverage to combat Islamophobia that is spreading in the west.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and ask God the Almighty to shower the victims with his mercy.
