The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland is taking bookings for school/college visits, as well as requests for talks to be given in schools/colleges.
Dr Ali Selim has continued to welcome school tours into the mosque. They are given a talk and a tour of the inside of the main prayer hall.
Sr Summayah Kenna from our community welfare department had a busy week last week. She paid a visit to a school in Co. Kerry: Intermediate School Kilorglin and gave a talk to 5 classes of students on Islam. There were four talks in total due to the continued covid restrictions in the school. The students were wonderful and staff very hospitable. Special thanks to Hazel Stafford for the invitation.
Sr Summayah was also invited to talk at a UCD ISOC halaqa. The talk was on preparation for marriage. The students were lovely and gave a very good response to the talk.
Both visits were extremely enjoyable ~ Sr Summayah
Sr Amilah from our community welfare department was invited to Our Lady's in Terrenure to give a talk to five classes of second years about Islam. There were three talks in total over two days. The students were engaging and the staff very welcoming. Special thanks to Edel for making the arrangements.
