Imam Ajmal Masroor was invited to Dublin to give a talk to the community and a workshop for the youth on Friday March 18th and Saturday March 19th. The talk took place in the events hall and was titled: Emotional Intelligence, key to harmonising your relationships. You can watch it on our Facebook page if you missed it live.
The workshop: The Marriage Prep Toolkit, took place from 11am till Asr prayer on Saturday. The topics covered were:
- Are you ready?
- Marriage perception and definition - Reflection using a word bank
- The Spirit of Marriage
- Gender Differences
- Creating Safe Space (Sakeena), Developing Love (Mawaddah) and Compassion (Rahmah)
- Understanding sex and intimacy
- Spouse selection criteria
- Etiquette of finding a spouse
- Communication in marriage
The feedback for both events was very positive, with everyone wanting the ICCI to invite Imam Ajmal back for more sessions.
