On February 1st a general staff meeting for all the staff of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland was held at the Emmaus retreat Centre in Swords. Dr Nooh’s opening presentation brought the staff through the history of the establishment and its progression from 1996 up to date. Brother Adnan Saif from the UK-based Knowledge Transfer was a guest at the meeting and led the staff in a strategic planning workshop. This was of immense benefit as it made everyone think, as well as look, at the service that we provide as a team and how we can improve on it in the coming years. The various departments gave insightful presentations into their work, and their plans to continue to make improvements for the benefit of the growing Muslim community in the future. The importance of community, their needs and challenges and catering for the Youth was touched on by all departments.
The Centre aims to be a Centre of excellence and will continue providing services to the growing community and with the help of the community’s feedback and support, address the community needs.
