On Wednesday 14th the community welfare office organised a women's trip to the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens. The group was met by tour guide, James, and given a guided tour. It was very informative and a great opportunity to ask questions. James introduced the group to some of the retired race horses, bringing them over to be petted and for photographs. The rain stayed away for the first half of the outing, and when it poured down, the women sat and had their lunch on the veranda of the cafe adjacent to the Japanese Gardens.
Many thanks to James for the great tour and answering all our questions and to Br Tawfik our bus driver for the day.
