We were honoured to welcome the esteemed Chargé d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Dublin, Mr. Mushtaq Falih Hassan, to the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland (ICCI) on Friday, 23rd August.
Mr. Hassan was warmly received by our CEO, Mr. Ahmed Hasain, and the Imam of ICCI, Sheikh Hussein Halawa. Dr Nooh Al-Kaddo also attended the welcoming as a former CEO and a senior Iraqi Citizen in Ireland. The visit was marked by a deep sense of mutual respect and camaraderie, reflecting the strong ties between the Iraqi community and the ICCI.
During the visit, His Excellency along with his colleague Dr Fadhil AlHalboosi engaged in meaningful discussions with our leadership. Topics of shared interest were explored, including the role of the ICCI in promoting cultural understanding, fostering community cohesion, and supporting the spiritual and social needs of the Muslim community in Ireland.
The Chargé d’Affaires expressed his appreciation for the ICCI’s efforts in serving the community and highlighted the importance of such institutions in maintaining the cultural and religious identity of the Iraqi diaspora in Ireland.
We are grateful for Mr. Hassan’s visit and look forward to continued collaboration with the Iraqi Embassy in our shared mission of enhancing cultural ties and supporting the welfare of the Iraqi and broader Muslim communities in Ireland.
