The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland as part of the ongoing washing and shrouding training courses, facilitated a washing and shrouding workshop for the sisters from the organisation FOMWAI (Federation of Muslim Women's Association in Ireland). Sr Summayah demonstrated how the washing and shrouding is done. The sisters then practiced amongst themselves before being taken down to the mortuary facilities and given another practical demonstration on the use of the hoist and how to move the deceased from the wash table to the shrouding table.
It was a very productive workshop with great feedback from the attendees.
They will come back at a later late to complete their training by attending a theory and question and answer session with Sheikh Hussein. Insha'Allah.
