The ICCI arranged a washing and shrouding workshop in Waterford Islamic Centre for the sisters living down there. Sr Summayah liaised with Sr Murofat who organised the gathering of the group of sisters who are interested in forming the washing and shrouding team for their area of the country. On Wednesday February 1st Sr Summayah and Sr Amilah travelled to Waterford to deliver the course. The Waterford community have been successful in gaining permission to use the newly built mortuary of Waterford University Hospital for preparing deceased members of their community for their funeral. They also have a section of the graveyard there reserved for the Muslim burials. Alhamdulillah.
On Wednesday 8th of February, Sr Summayah and Sr Amilah travelled down again to Waterford to meet the sisters in the Mortuary premises.
To finalise the course, the group will come to Dublin and have a theory session with Sheikh Hussein Halawa, followed by Questions and Answers, on February 25th, inshaAllah.
