As part of the ICCI Annual Conference the ICCI youth section was also busy. A valuable workshop was organised for the teenage boys and girls, on Saturday 28th of December, on a very important topic about friends, peer-pressure and having understanding of it. The title of the workshop was “Circles of influences and self-awareness”. This program was a continuation of a series of workshops for the youth aiming to strengthen and support them in their future decisions in this challenging time they are leaving in.
Sister Kathleen Roche-Nagi from “Approachable parenting” UK, using the participation of the youth, explained very well the many circles of influences they are facing in a daily basis. This triggered greater understanding of the human and material influences for the boys and the girls, which made them more self-aware of themselves and the challenges they face.
All in all it was very interesting and beneficial session, where many other issues were mentioned. We would like to do a follow-up with another workshop in the near future based on the outcome so far.
So watch this space and stay tuned-in inshaallah.
