International Purple Hijab Day at the ICCI

The Women’s Committee of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland will hold a special programme on 13th February 2014 in recognition of International Purple Hijab Day, an event initiated by Muslim women across the world as a stand against domestic viol.

The Women’s Committee of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland will hold a special programme on 13th February 2014 in recognition of International Purple Hijab Day, an event initiated by Muslim women across the world as a stand against domestic violence.

It will be held in the Seminar Room of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland from 10am-1pm.

Due to the importance of the event, we expect attendance to be high with attendees hearing speeches from Sheikh Hussain Halawa, Imam of the Islamic Cultural Centre as well as Sr. Summayah Kenna, Head of the Community Welfare Department and the Women’s Department.

All are welcome and childcare is available.
