Press release from Islamic organizations in Ireland condemning the attack on Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris, extending condolences to victims' families and dissociating from such acts.

Press release issued by the Islamic Centres in Ireland condemning the atrocious attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris.

In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate Most Merciful

We, the Islamic organizations named below, condemn in the strongest terms the attack perpetrated on the 7th January 2015 on the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris. 

This horrendous attack cannot be justified under any circumstances.

We repudiate and dissociate ourselves from any group or individual who commits such brutal acts. We refuse to allow our faith to be held hostage by the criminal actions of tiny minority acting outside the teachings of Islam.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.
