The ICCI youth club has had a very successful three years of youth activities, alhamdulillah. On Sunday 23 September 2018, we held our second annual general meeting (AGM) with parents/guardians, which was establishe last year as an annual event. The aim of the meeting was to look out how we can improve the youth work even more. Working together with parents/guardians is essential in order to make sure that the best care is provided to our youth.
Br Tafazal Mohammed from Muslim Youth Skills UK was our moderator and presenter at this meeting. The parents/guardians participated in very eye-opening and insightful conversations about teenagers, youth work, its challenges and specifics and the great importance of having a good alternative for our youth's ever-changing needs. Br Tafazal gave many real life examples, where many concerns were expressed and suggestions were given.
Q&A sessions were also carried out throughout the session.
The Youth Department of ICCI is very grateful to all the parents who attended and benefited from the meeting and we hope that those who could not attend will be there for our next meetings and events **InshaAllah (by the Will of Allah). **
