The community welfare department of the ICCI arranged a training session for the HSE staff, who are currently running the COVID testing centre here in the events hall of the ICCI, on Tuesday May 17th from 10am - 11:30am. Sr Amilah gave a brief introduction to the basic beliefs that all Muslim's adhere to, which are the five pillars of Islam and the six pillars of faith (Iman). A small tour of the main prayer hall was given before returning for the second half of the session with Sr Summayah. She spoke about Islam and Muslims, the different cultures and ettiquettes and also touched on the misconceptions that people may have in relation to some areas of the religion. Questions were answered at the end of the session. All in all it was a lovely morning, and we'd like to thank the HSE staff for attending and being so engaging.
