PRESS RELEASE

Subject: Irish Muslims celebrate Eid ul Fitr, the first major Muslim celebration following lifting of Covid19 restrictions

On Monday May 2nd 2022, Muslims across Ireland will celebrate ‘Eid ul FItr’, a celebration that signifies the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims have fasted during daytime for one month.

Management & Staff at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland congratulate the Muslims in Ireland, and Muslims around the world, on this joyous occasion.

It is expected that the turnout will be high due to the Covid19 pandemic restrictions imposed over the past two years. The ICCI are prepared to welcome maximum numbers of celebrants on this day of great significance to the Muslim community across the world.

Eid Prayer will begin at 10am followed by celebrations throughout the day at the Islamic Cultural Centre. Doors open at 8am to welcome worshippers who will join us in the celebration.
