Paying Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitrana) — Ramadan 1447 / 2026

Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitrana) purifies the fasting person and feeds the poor. The Islamic Cultural Foundation of Ireland provides a form to pay your Fitrana. Download the form below.

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) enjoined Zakat-ul-Fitr to purify the fasting person from verbal errors and evil deeds and to feed the poor. Whoever gives it before the Eid prayer, it will be an accepted Zakat; and whoever gives it after the Eid prayer, it will be Sadaqa.”

Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitrana) is due on every Muslim (for themselves and their dependants) before the Eid prayer. It purifies the one who has fasted and provides food for those in need.

The Islamic Cultural Foundation of Ireland has made a Fitrana form available for the community. You can download it below, complete it, and return it as instructed on the form so that your Zakat-ul-Fitr reaches those in need.

We ask Allah to accept your fasting, your Fitrana, and all your good deeds. Ramadan Mubarak.
