On Sunday, October 6th, 2024, despite the fresh and wet morning, our boys embarked on an exciting hike to Djouce Mountain, part of the stunning Wicklow Mountains, not far from Dublin. This adventure marked the next step in our journey of “Discovering Allah’s Beautiful Creation.”

Throughout the hike, we were awestruck by the wonders of nature: the towering mountain peaks, drifting clouds, panoramic views, strong winds, lush forests, and crystal-clear spring water—all reminders of the beauty and majesty of Paradise.

A special guest, Barnaby Bear, a beloved school friend of some of the boys, joined us, adding extra joy to our adventure.

We began our hike with a tranquil walk through the forest, alongside a small stream and a light drizzle. Though the weather wasn’t ideal at first, we were greeted by the breathtaking sight of the lake below. As we pushed on, the rain eased, and halfway through, the skies cleared, revealing incredible views.

Reaching the summit, we found ourselves touching the clouds—an exhilarating experience. As the clouds lifted, we were treated to a stunning panorama of the mountains and Dublin Bay.

Our path then led us past a refreshing mountain spring, where we paused for a break and a brief reflection, before continuing back to our starting point. The day was filled with fresh air, vibrant scenery, strong winds, and moments of serenity, making it a truly memorable experience.

We thank Allah for this incredible adventure, and we’re already looking forward to the next one, Insha’Allah.
