Ceremonies were held on Sunday 9th of July, around the country, to mark the National Day of Commemoration. This is an annual event honouring the Irishmen and Irishwomen who died in past wars or on service with the United Nations. The main one was held in Cork and it was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Halawa of ICC Portlaoise.
