The ICCI community welfare office organised the first fundraising coffee morning of the new school year during palliative care week (11 - 17 Sept) on Monday 12th of September. Mary McDaid a volunteer from LauraLynn spoke to us about the history and work of LauraLynn Children's Hospice.
Quote: Children live the little moments, and so do we. At LauraLynn's Children’s Hospice we help children with life-limiting illnesses and their families, to make the most of the little moments together.
The day after our coffee morning, we saw the support of the staff from LauraLynn Hospice in action, when they came to attend the funeral of a little boy, Rayyan, who was under their care. Keep his mother and family in your prayers.
For those who missed out on the coffee morning and would still like to make a donation, you can do so via their donation link.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed, and to Mary McDaid for giving her time to us again.
