The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland would like to wish the Muslim Community in Ireland a joyous and blessed day of Eid Al-Fitr, which will fall on Thursday 13 May 2021. We pray you, your families and all loved ones continue to be safe and well in these very difficult times.
Eid is a joyous and unique thanksgiving occasion which Muslims celebrate all over the world. Times like Eid for us, the Muslims of Ireland, are special as they bring together in celebration our diverse and vibrant range of communities living in the country.
For the last 30 days, Muslims in Ireland just like Muslims around the world, have been fasting for around 17 hours each day. These days revitalised us with the true spirit of gratitude, steadfastness and patience, which are all culminations of everyday lessons in life.
We pray that all your good works and prayers are accepted during this blessed month and we can all keep this renewed spirit throughout the year.
We also pray that this Eid will be the last Eid celebrated under the restrictions and ask Allah the Almighty to bring a speedy end to the pandemic once for all. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the people who have left this world because of the current pandemic, war or other causes.
May this Eid be a peaceful, joyous and a blessed occasion for our families, friends and communities.
Stay safe and Eid Mubarak again in advance.
Wassalamu alaikum
