On Tuesday 5 July 2016, the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland celebrated the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Eid ul Fitr prayer was held at 10.00am attended by a large number of Muslims from Dublin city and its surrounding areas. Following Eid prayer, refreshments were provided to everyone with the community enjoying the festive atmosphere. Many of the families stayed on for the Family Fun day that was sponsored by Human Appeal Ireland.
In addition to the barbeque, Human Appeal International Ireland in co-operation with the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland presented Eid ul-Fitr Family Fun Day 2016 on the same day and on the grounds of the ICCI. A variety of entertaining games were made available for the children of different ages to mark the auspicious occasion.
The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland would like to thank all the ICCI staff, volunteers and all contractors for their great contribution in making our Eid ul Fitr a real success.
