As part of the ongoing training for the sisters working in the ICCI community welfare department, a workshop was organised with Gda Sgt Lorna O'Connor on Domestic Abuse. ICCI volunteers and other women's organisations were invited to attend. Christina Santamaria from Aoibhneas, an organisation that offers domestic abuse support for women and children also attended and shared information on the supports that Aoibhneas offers.
Thank you to everyone who attended. It was a heavy, but very informative morning. It will be the first of many collaborative workshops/talks.
