The administration of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland organised a short photography training session for some of the ICCI staff members on Wednesday, 11th of March. Pauric McGroder facilitated the session taking the attendees on a short journey through the history of photography before getting into the real business detailing the workings of the camera and how to identify the different settings on the cameras attendees brought with them. They learnt about the exposure triangle which is made up of ISO, shutter speed and the aperture. How to adjust these settings manually in order to get that good shot. They learnt about camera shake and when is the best time to use a tripod or put the camera on a firm surface. There is also the correct way to actually hold the camera in your hand for better results!
Many thanks to Pauric for this time and patience, much was learnt, and we hope to be able to use our skills at future workshops and events!
