Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) enjoined Zakat-ul-Fitr to purify the fasting person from verbal errors and evil deeds and to feed the poor. Whoever gives it before the Eid prayer, it will be an accepted Zakat; and whoever gives it after the Eid prayer, it will be Sadaqa.”
Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitrana) is due before the Eid prayer. Please ensure it reaches the needy in time.
